This certificate is designed to provide the core grammar, lexicon, and etiquette for students to be better prepared to pursue a higher degree in Spanish Language as well as to use professional Spanish in their workplace, neighborhood and community at large.

Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this certificate, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate basic proficiency in speaking and listening comprehension in Spanish.
- Demonstrate basic proficiency in reading comprehension in Spanish.
- Demonstrate basic proficiency in writing in Spanish.
- Demonstrate familiarity with the different Spanish-speaking communities around the world and the many variations in the language that exist.
