Using scenario-based human patient simulation and case-based practice, students undergo an intensive, practical learning process. This cohort program prepares students for the National Registry Paramedic exam (NREMT-P) licensure exam and the New Mexico licensing exam. Licensed paramedics provide advanced life support in the prehospital, and many other, settings. Admission to this program is competitive and all applicants must hold a valid New Mexico EMT or EMT-Intermediate license prior to applying. Applicants must also be current on relevant vaccines and at least 18 years old.
