This certificate is designed for practicing and aspiring technical and business professionals who already hold associate’s or bachelor’s degrees, or are working towards them, to advance their careers in the field of electric power generation, distribution, and energy management sectors. Students gain a broad knowledge of the issues in the grid modernization, including topics like distributed energy, smart grids, and microgrids, and how new energy conversion and information technologies are being integrated to modernize the electricity grid.

- Discuss distributed energy concepts
