A.A.S. Degrees in Media Arts are available in four concentrations: 3-D Graphics, Animation and Game Design, audio production, graphic and interactive design and web design. An A.A.S. in Media Arts degree provides students with employable skills in web design, multimedia and digital layout design. They also receive a general education foundation. Emphasis is placed on mastery of industry software and hardware applications.

NOTE: A.A.S. degrees are designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in specific occupations; they are not generally intended to transfer to four-year institutions. For more information on transfer, refer to the Transfer of Credit  section, or speak with an academic advisor.

Program Learning Outcomes


Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze, synthesize, and develop probable solutions.
  • Communicate discipline-based design ideas verbally, visually and digitally.
  • Apply creative process techniques in synthesizing information, problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Develop a portfolio of work demonstrating proficiency in a field of study.
