This curriculum is designed for students who need academic flexibility to meet requirements for transfer or career exploration, or to meet other academic goals. The Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts is both a stand-alone degree and a transfer degree. For students transferring to four-year schools, it covers the curriculum needed for the first two years of baccalaureate study. The degree includes a general education curriculum of 32 credit hours, which is accepted by all New Mexico public colleges and universities as the general education requirements for degree completion. Students must work closely with their transfer institutions and their SFCC advisors to ensure the best transition to four-year institutions.
This curriculum consists of courses that fulfill the New Mexico General Education Curriculum (NMGEC) and a variety of general electives.
