Students who anticipate transferring to one of New Mexico’s public universities and majoring in education should follow this module of lower-division courses. Regardless of course equivalencies for transfer credit, students must complete the minimum number of upper-division credit hours required at the receiving institution. Students who successfully complete this preparatory curriculum for teacher education are required to take the National Evaluation Series (NES) Essential Skills (I, II, III) before transferring to a university. Admission to Teacher Education programs require successful completion of the NES Essential Skills.

The combined total of Mathematics and Laboratory Science areas should equal a minimum of 10 credits. Students must work closely with their transfer institutions and their SFCC advisors.
Social/Behavioral Sciences (9 Credits)

Health and Wellness (1 Credit)
