MASS 1440 - Thai Table Massage Cupping & Myofascial Release

Credits: 1

Thai table massage therapy cupping techniques and benefits. The course reviews ethics as it relates to cultural appropriation and Buddhist medicine. Students practice a variety of myofascial release techniques such as static cupping, moving cupping, massaging with cups, compression, holding and other Thai techniques applicable to the massage table or the mat. 

Permission Required.
Offered: Fall and Summer.
Three-quarters lecture, one-quarter lab.
