ALTF 261 - Advanced Algae Cultivation
Credits: 3
Introduction of advanced algae cultivation technologies from 10-Liter photobioreactors to larger scale (1,000 Liter and beyond) algae production systems. Topics include mass balance, carbon and water footprints, and system maintenance. Advanced analytical methods and culturing techniques are presented along with data collection and record keeping. Guest lectures from industry and the national laboratories are scheduled throughout the semester.
Prerequisite(s): ALTF 161 .
