The Certificate in Automation and Controls provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles, technologies, and practices used in the design, installation, and maintenance of automation and control systems. Through a combination of theoretical coursework and hands-on lab experience, students will develop the skills needed to succeed in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, transportation, and energy.

Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
- 1. Demonstrate understanding of the fundamentals of automation and controls, including terminology, concepts, and technologies used in the field.
- 2. Apply knowledge of electrical and electronic principles to the design, installation, and troubleshooting of automation and control systems.
- 3. Analyze data collected by sensors and other automation devices to identify opportunities for improving efficiency, quality, and performance.
- 4. Design and implement automation and controls strategies that improve system performance, reduce costs, and enhance safety.
