The Associate in Applied Science in General Studies allows students flexibility in creating plans around their core interests. Some concentrations are designed to prepare students for specific occupations. Other concentrations may transfer. Transferability of courses is determined by the receiving institution.

NOTE: A.A.S. degrees are designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in specific occupations; they are not generally intended to transfer to four-year institutions. For more information on transfer, refer to the Transfer of Credit  section, or speak with an academic advisor.

General Education Requirements: (32 Credits)


Mathematics (3-8 Credits)


Laboratory Science (4-8 Credits)


The combined total of Mathematics and Laboratory Science areas should equal a minimum of 10 credits.

Social/Behavioral Science (3-6 Credits)


Creative and Fine Arts (3-6 Credits)


Humanities (3-6 Credits)


The combined total of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Humanities and Creative and Fine Arts areas should equal 12 credits hours.

Health and Wellness (1 Credit)
