The Associate in Applied Science in Film degree is intended for students seeking to go directly into the workforce. Students focus on one area: film production, film technician training, digital cinematography, independent filmmaking, film post-production, or documentary filmmaking. Students acquire the aesthetic and technical filmmaking skills to work individually or as part of a team in their area of focus.

NOTE: A.A.S. degrees are designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in specific occupations; they are not generally intended to transfer to four-year institutions. For more information on transfer, refer to the Transfer of Credit  section, or speak with an academic advisor.

Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:

In addition to completing a certificate, take additional film course(s), if needed, so that the related requirements total at least 36 credits.
