This certificate curriculum prepares students for entry level employment as a CAD/BIM draftsperson in the building construction field. All courses used to satisfy the certificate must be completed with a “C” or better.

Program Learning Outcomes


Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:

  • Apply skills and knowledge in commercial and residential electrical equipment
  • Develop and demonstrate proficiency in electrical troubleshooting techniques
  • Demonstrate techniques to accomplish drawings utilizing different computer aided design (CAD/BIM) software
  • Demonstrate skills in the production of working drawings of residential and commercial structures
  • Apply nationally accredited construction safety standards
  • Demonstrate proficiency installing and operating HVAC and plumbing control mechanical systems
  • Articulate knowledge of basic business skills
