MASS 1250 - Thai Massage Therapy Professional Ethics

This course covers difference in concepts of boundaries, professional practice, self-care and sustainability practices in Thai culture and Thai massage therapy practice as compared to massage therapy in the United States. Fundamentals in the difference between the history, traditions and culture in Thai massage therapy compared to massage therapy in the United States. Explores cultural appropriation and ethical practices as they relate to practices outside one’s own culture. Overview of key Western massage concepts as preparation for the required National Massage Therapy Board Examination (MBLEx).
