PHLB 1120 - Special Practices in Phlebotomy

[Previously offered as: PHLB 117] This phlebotomy course focuses on the theory of capillary blood collection, specialized blood and non-blood specimen collection, handling, and processing including point-of-care testing (POCT). Other topics include expanded considerations of medical terminology and non-cardiac anatomy and physiology. Review of material to prepare the student for the national certification exam is included.
