MASS 1140 - Kinesiology for Massage Therapy

Introduces kinesiology as it relates to massage therapy. Emphasis is placed on palpation of muscles, including muscle attachments and the muscle belly. Reviews musculoskeletal terminology, muscle structure and function, including range of motion as it applies to massage therapy. The risks and benefits of pathologies commonly encountered by massage therapists are thoroughly addressed.
