WATR 160 - Water Chemistry
Credits: 4
General chemistry with applications to water analysis. Emphasis is on proficiency with chemistry and the analytical tools necessary to ensure the most efficient and effective water treatment operations. Hands-on practical training in the use of laboratory equipment/techniques such as digital titrators, pH testing, chlorine testing, operating and calibrating turbidimeters, coagulation theory and jar testing.
Offered: Fall.
Three lecture hours, two lab hours.
